Dr. Richard Ng's Journey in Lionism

Dr. Richard Ng started his journey in Lionism when he joined Lions Club of Perak Silver State as a Charter Member in 2005. He was novice at that time involved mostly on projects related to education being an academician.

He then led the club to other projects such as contributing intraoccular lens to orang Asli from Gerik. He was also actively involved in giving talk on education. He left the club briefly in 2013 due to work commitment and internal problems in the club.

He rejoined the club again in 2016 playing active role such as Membership Chairperson and Marketing Chairperson before being elected as President for 4 terms from 2020 to 2024.

He was appointed the Zone 14 Chairperson for LY 2024 - 2025 serving under District Governor Lion Don Hoe with the theme "Build Your Legacy".

He was later appointed the Region 5 Chairperson for LY 2025 - 2026 serving under District Governor Lion Tan Say Cheong with the theme "Back to Basic".

Prior to that he was elected as the President of Ipoh City Watch in 2014 until today. He founded the Koperasi Alam Hijau Perak Berhad (KOHIJAU) in 2016 with the participation of members from ICW.

2020 - Appointed Ipoh City Councillor for 3 years

2025 - Appointed Group Strategic Advisor of Shen Jai Education Group
